So many of us are excited to soon be able to celebrate the moments that are most important to us, with the people that we love most. While we may not have an official timeframe of when this will happen, it is never too early to begin planning! We want to share a few ideas for events that can be celebrated any time, any place – even if it falls a couple of months after the intended date.
That prom dress is too beautiful to not see the light of day! While the traditional prom has been cancelled by many schools nationwide, the idea of a “mini prom” may be an appealing alternative for those high school seniors who are still dreaming of their prom night. This can be as simple or as elaborate as you would like it to be. All you need are great friends, music, refreshments, and room for dancing – remember to choose a spot for photos!
A popular trend for hosting baby showers has been to celebrate via a video chat. Of course, it is not always feasible to postpone a baby shower because there is a certain time frame before the baby is born – but the celebration does not have to end once the baby arrives! Hosting a “welcome baby” get together, whenever appropriate, is a wonderful way to gather your closest family and friends and introduce them to your beautiful bundle of joy.
This is also an event that falls within the certain time frame. Obviously, if the baby is already born, there is no use in a gender reveal! If this event must be virtual, there are many cost-effective and creative ideas that can make everyone feel included. When ordering your “reveal item” whether that be a confetti-filled balloon, or a small powder cannon, send one to each of the members who plan on participating in the video call. If your guests are all local, even consider making cupcakes with the appropriate color or name on M&M’s inside and hand-deliver one to the porch of your local guests! Count down and release your blue or pink color together at the same time. This way, no one has to worry about lost connections or bad video quality. Join in on the excitement together!
Gradation is a BIG deal and a wonderful accomplishment – it deserves to be celebrated! Although graduation parties are typically celebrated during the summer months, there is no right or wrong time to celebrate how proud you are of your new high-school or college graduate. These types of celebrations can easily be planned into the fall months, on a weekend or during a holiday break. Gather your loved ones, plan a delicious meal, and spend your day sharing some fun memories and old photos of your graduate.
Couples often spend years planning and saving, counting down the days to say, “I do.” While the “big day” is typically spent under twinkling lights in your dream venue, the true purpose of your wedding day is to begin the rest of forever with your special someone. Many couples have been opting for a small ceremony to tie the knot on their intended wedding date. The good news is you are still able to have your reception! Maybe not all within the same day, but venues are doing everything that they can to accommodate the couple’s schedule and work with them to find a new date. Whenever that may be, celebrate your wedding day as if this is the first time by doing a vowel renewal and after party.
